My “Currently Drafting” Spreadsheet: The spreadsheet I use to keep track of what books I’m currently working on and where I’m at in the word count. This is a Google Sheet that you can download to your computer or copy to your own Google Drive.

Story Genius by Lisa Cron: A craft book on storytelling. I heard about this book from Joan He and really enjoyed it. An excellent look at what propels a story and how to make it work.

Susan Dennard’s Misfits and Daydreamers Newsletter: A great resource for writers of all levels searching for help with craft and behind-the-scenes looks at publishing.

Save the Cat Beat Sheet Template from Jamie Gold’s website: This page has links to a lot of helpful story structure/plotting templates, but the top one is for Blake Snyder’s Save the Cat Beat Sheet, originally created by Elizabeth Davis.

Belinda Crawford’s 7-Point Plot Structure Template: A couple of templates for outlining using the 7-point plot structure, provided by Belinda Crawford.

Kat O’Keeffe’s 3 Act 9 Block 27 Chapter Method (also described in this video): An interesting take on outlining structure that can help you get your story into shape.

AgentQuery: Website for finding agents and their submission guidelines. I used this one a lot when I was initially querying and trying to find info on what agents do and don’t accept.

QueryTracker: Website for finding agents & tracking your queries. When I was querying, I loved using this website. It helped me keep track of what agents I’d submitted to, what I had submitted, where they were in the process, and their responses.

Aiden Thomas’s Book Launch Survival Guide: They know how to do this whole authoring thing WAY better than I do. This guide is informative, thoughtful, and well-organized.

Alexa Donne’s video about book publicity scams: It’s always important to be able to recognize scams when they come along, and this video goes into research about current publicity offer scams and how legitimate they can look.
